General
What is RxPost?
RxPost is a DSCSA-compliant marketplace and inventory platform built for independent pharmacies. It lets licensed pharmacies buy needed medications below wholesale acquisition cost (WAC), sell surplus or short-dated stock for cash, source hard-to-find drugs, and manage inventory across one or many stores — all in one compliant network.
How much does it cost?
RxPost is free to join. The Starter plan is free forever and charges a 10% fee only when you make a sale. The Growth plan is $90/month (20% off annually) with a reduced 9% sales fee and advanced tools. Enterprise pricing is custom. You never pay to browse, list, or buy — fees apply only on completed sales.
Is RxPost available nationwide?
RxPost serves licensed pharmacies across the United States. Available trading partners and shipping options depend on your state's pharmacy regulations, which RxPost validates automatically during each transaction.
Do I need special hardware?
No. RxPost runs entirely in your web browser — no scanners, servers, or installed software required. If you already use a pharmacy management system (PMS), RxPost can integrate with it to sync inventory automatically.
Is there a mobile app?
RxPost is fully responsive and works on any phone or tablet browser, so you can list, buy, and approve transfers on the go. Native apps are on the roadmap.
Buying
How do I buy on RxPost?
Search the marketplace for the NDC or product you need, compare verified listings from other licensed pharmacies, and place an order. RxPost confirms both parties' licenses and DSCSA documentation before the sale is finalized.
What happens after I place an order?
The seller is notified, the medication is packed with full transaction history (T3) documentation, and it ships to you — often same-day on the Growth plan. You receive tracking and a complete compliance record for your files.
What if I can't find a drug?
Set an alert for any NDC and RxPost notifies you the moment a matching listing goes live. Many shortages and back-ordered items surface on the network days before traditional wholesalers restock.
Selling
How do I list surplus stock?
Add items manually, upload a spreadsheet in bulk, or sync directly from your PMS. RxPost suggests competitive pricing, and you set your own. Listings go live to the network instantly.
How quickly do I get paid?
You're paid after the buyer receives the order and the transaction clears. Funds are deposited to your linked account — most sellers see payouts within a few business days, with no invoicing or collections on your end.
What products are disallowed?
Controlled substances (DEA-scheduled drugs), expired product, recalled lots, and any item your state prohibits from transfer cannot be listed. RxPost automatically blocks disallowed items to keep every transaction compliant.
Inventory management
Can I manage multiple stores?
Yes. RxPost supports single stores up to 50-store chains with multi-store dashboards, role-based access, and consolidated reporting across every location.
Bulk upload or PMS integration?
Both. Import inventory via spreadsheet for a quick start, or connect your pharmacy management system for continuous, automatic syncing of stock and pricing.
Can I track expiration dates?
Yes. RxPost tracks lot numbers and expiration dates, flags short-dated stock before it becomes a write-off, and suggests when to list items for sale to recover value.
How do inter-store transfers work?
Move inventory between your own locations with a few clicks. RxPost generates the documentation, updates stock at both stores, and keeps a clean audit trail. Inter-store transfers are included on the Growth plan.
Pricing & plans
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The only charge is the per-sale fee (10% on Starter, 9% on Growth). There are no setup fees, listing fees, or charges to buy. Shipping is free on ground orders over $800; smaller orders on Growth ship at a $10 flat rate.
Do you offer annual-billing discounts?
Yes. Paying for the Growth plan annually saves 20% versus monthly billing.
What payment methods are accepted?
RxPost supports standard ACH bank transfers for purchases and payouts. Enterprise customers can arrange custom billing terms with their account manager.
Security & compliance
Is it legal to trade medications with other pharmacies?
Yes. Federal law and most state boards permit a licensed pharmacy to transfer prescription drugs to another licensed pharmacy to meet a specific patient need, typically capped at 5% of annual sales. RxPost enforces these rules automatically — verifying licenses, applying state limits, and documenting each transfer — so every trade stays within regulation.
What does “specific patient need” mean?
It's the regulatory basis for pharmacy-to-pharmacy transfers: a pharmacy may obtain or supply medication to fill an identified patient's prescription rather than for general resale. RxPost is designed around this framework so your sourcing and surplus sales remain compliant.
Is RxPost DSCSA compliant?
Yes. RxPost captures and stores the transaction information, history, and statement (T3) required under the Drug Supply Chain Security Act for every trade, giving you a complete, audit-ready record automatically.
How is my data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on secure infrastructure with strict access controls. RxPost follows industry best practices for safeguarding pharmacy and transaction data.
Who can access my data?
Only you and the team members you authorize. RxPost never sells your data, and counterparties only see the listing details necessary to complete a transaction.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export your inventory, transaction history, and compliance records at any time — your data is always yours.
